We are now in Scorpio season, and the longer nights match this Scorpio energy. Scorpio is a water sign and fixed, and as such a Scorpio can fix you with a gaze that could turn you to stone. And yet Scorpio’s ruling planet is the powerful and transformational Pluto, and it is this determination of the Scorpio nature to dig down to the muddy depths for the truth. Even if it costs, Scorpio is like the psychotherapist who helps you understand your own muddy depths, and allow the truth to transform you. Psychotherapy is like being a detective, so we may find many detectives as well as psychotherapists who have Scorpio, or Pluto, prominent in their natal chart somewhere.
So how will November pan out with this Scorpio energy ? We have some provocative energy this month right from the 1st. A square from the Sun in Scorpio to Saturn in Aquarius, over the first week urges caution and a need to bide ones time, to be the observer trusting that the truth will come out at the right time. This is supported by Pluto in Capricorn, also squaring Mercury in Libra, showing us that tough truths will be revealed. And handled in the right way the trine from Jupiter in Aquarius, to Mercury in Libra, brings abundant opportunities to negotiate with the wider world for the best ways forward.
Retrograde Uranus in Taurus is in opposition to the Sun on November 5th, which coincides with the New Moon in Scorpio on the 4th, considering its Guy Fawks night in the UK on the 5th, let’s hope this new moon with Uranus opposite is not too explosive. The Uranus Saturn square, that we’ve experienced all year to a greater and lesser extent, is also heating up again to go exact at Christmas. So the tension created by these 2 massive energies, will be evident again, with the urge to splurge countered by caution and restraint , not necessarily self imposed but, with regard to what we can do in the larger community. But the new moon does bring opportunities for positive visions, and inspiring ideas, that can not only transform our lives, but also if governments embrace this visionary energy, then a brighter, greener world,becomes much more possible. Collective positive intent goes a long way to enabling the planet consciousness to shift up a gear.
Mid November, around the 15th, sees a potent opposition from Mars and Mercury conjunct in Scorpio, in opposition to retrograde Uranus in Taurus. Communication about matters overseas could become quite heated and potentially destructive, as climate change hits the headlines again. The earths resources will have to be faced realistically. And a harsh square from Jupiter in Aquarius, to the sun in Scorpio, could see the collective really letting off steam about it. Prudence and caution would be advised all round.
The Full Moon this month is also a partial Lunar Eclipse.
We will need to have a steady hand, on the helm of our Scorpionic ship, as we navigate these waters, as with Mars and Mercury in opposition to this Taurus full moon, widely conjunct Uranus, anything could happen, and because both the Sun and Moon are at the end degree of their respective signs, we could literally see the earth move and whether that’s metaphorical, or literal we will have to wait and see. But the presence of Pluto in Capricorn making a harmonious link to the Full Moon, gives hope of the wonderful transformation that can occur, whether on a personal level, or a collective level when situations end that no longer serve us. When the moon is eclipsed you have to look at where in your life your light is being shadowed. Just the awareness of that can begin the movement back into the light.
The more we seek truth collectively the tougher the journey but the ultimate gift is true awareness.
