THE ASTRONOMY

Neptune, is the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun, and is predominantly composed of hydrogen, helium, and traces of methane. Its atmosphere contains dynamic weather patterns, including the fastest winds in the solar system, reaching speeds of up to 1,300 miles per hour (2,100 kilometers per hour). The planet has a deep blue coloration due to the absorption of red light by methane in its atmosphere. Neptune also has a series of dark spots and bright clouds, similar to Jupiter's, which are thought to be caused by interactions between atmospheric gases and the planet's internal heat. Its interior likely consists of a rocky core surrounded by layers of icy materials and a thick mantle of liquid hydrogen. Neptune has a system of rings and a diverse family of moons, the largest of which is Triton, which exhibits geysers and surface frost.

THE ASTROLOGY

In astrology, Neptune is associated with qualities such as intuition, spirituality, imagination, and mysticism. It is considered the ruler of Pisces, and its influence is often linked to themes of compassion, empathy, and sensitivity. Neptune's energy can inspire creativity, artistic expression, and a deep connection to the subconscious mind. However, it can also bring about confusion, illusion, and escapism if its influence is not grounded. Neptune encourages individuals to explore their inner world, seek spiritual growth, and connect with something greater than themselves. It is also associated with themes of illusion, deception, and idealism, reminding us to discern between reality and fantasy.

NEPTUNE IN PISCES

Neptune has been wading through Pisces since 2011/2012, and it will remain in this sign until 2025/2026. And because Neptune is the planet of dreams, delusion, inspiration, mysticism, and escape. Like a stage magician, Neptune can entrance us with its sleight of hand.

Mystical Neptune and lucky Jupiter are the co-rulers of sweet and sensitive Pisces. That is what gives this zodiac sign a dreamy and imaginative nature. Neptune and Jupiter are also classified as highly spiritual planets, further enhancing Pisceans' connection to dreams, empathy and creative abilities.

WHAT MIGHT WE EXPECT FROM NEPTUNE IN PISCES?

Neptune takes 165 years to orbit the Sun, which means the last time Neptune was in Pisces was between 1847 and 1862. In this time, spiritualism gained momentum in the United States and Europe. Casual get-togethers with friends involved séances, table tipping, and attempts at levitation.

IMPORTANT SHIFT OF NEPTUNES ENERGIES

The next Saturn–Neptune conjunction will occur at the 0° Aries point, the first degree of the zodiac, itself marking the birth of a new era. The conjunction will be near exact in July 2025, and will perfect at 0° Aries on February 20, 2026. What might we expect from this conjunction? Might Saturn start to bring some mainstream acceptable boundaries and examples of the abilities of the mind to expand human consciousness and accept that our intuitive abilities and the elevation of these qualities for our collective human consciousness to finally aspire to and reach and tune into a frequency of love and healing for our planet and beyond. And what of Neptunes long journey through the fiery sign of Aries?  We may well experience emotional outbursts as a new found fiery belief in the power of our psychic abilities and our ability for telepathic communication becomes more real.  How will this all ultimately unfold? And how much can human consciousness rise up towards it's full potential? We will have to wait and see!
